Overview: <br /> <p>Are you looking to develop and mentor an Account Management/Sales team? In the Sales Coach role, you will coach and mentor new Account Managers (AM) in their first 12 months of employment to develop them into consistent sales performers. Your work with AMs emphasizes sales skills and ensures they have knowledge of internal systems and the technology needed to meet their goals.</p> <p>As the primary point person for new AM professional development, you set expectations and train these new hires to utilize resources and systems effectively and efficiently to instill the confidence needed to become productive Account Managers. You use independent judgment and discretion in decision-making and act as an indirect supervisor in conjunction with the Sales Manager for all new hires assigned to them.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Observe AM performance through phone monitoring and direct observation</li> <li>Identify coaching opportunities and development needs for assigned AMs</li> <li>Help AM improve performance through one-on-one proactive coaching sessions, training, and responsive coaching. <ul> <li>Utilize a combination of leadership, coaching/mentoring, and inspection skills based on established metrics to guide AM's successful development</li> </ul> </li> <li>Create quarterly and monthly strategies for producing business results for the AM assigned to you through forecasting and business analysis</li> <li>Prepare reports for 6-month business reviews, analyze and interpret reports</li> <li>Meet with every new Account Manager on the Coach's sales team individually to identify goals and create action plans for attaining those goals</li> <li>Inspect progress toward action plans throughout the month in conjunction with the Sales Manager</li> <li>Participate in self-development learning opportunities and strategic planning meetings with Sales Managers about the Account Managers</li> <li>Attend Sales meetings and training (sales/vendor/technology/systems, etc.)</li> <li>Develops special projects as needed in conjunction with internal partners</li> <li>Trial new programs or techniques to expedite the on-boarding process</li> <li>Coordinate with other departments to develop programs to facilitate AM growth and development through 12 months in tenure.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>4 to 7+ years of training or coaching experience</li> <li>Basic to Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with ability to create and deliver presentations</li> <li>Strong system skills (such as Callback, E1, and B2B or other similar programs)</li> <li>Proven coaching/mentoring skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback to drive AM growth</li> <li>Robust facilitation and classroom platform skills with ability to positively affect and train sales professionals at different levels</li> <li>Collaboration skills with ability to identify potential employee issues with knowledge of who to approach in order to resolve said issues</li> <li>Team player with ability to portray a positive, problem-solving attitude while coaching/mentoring AMs</li> <li>Good multitasking skills with ability to manage priorities</li> <li>Strong critical thinking skills with ability to make strategic decisions regarding AM development</li> <li>Intermediate verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with different personalities and individuals with different backgrounds</li> <li>Detail-oriented with ability to detect trends, errors, and identify areas to review for better efficiency</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with Sales and Leadership methodologies: Basho, The John Maxwell Company and Challenger training</li> </ul>
