Overview: <br />Working under direct supervision of the Configuration Supervisor, selecting from a variety of established procedures to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities, the Imaging and Install Technician is an entry-level technician role. The technician sets up and configures computers and other peripherals in the Configuration Lab at a low to mid complexity level. Working hours for this position are 9:30pm to 8am Monday through Thursday with overtime as needed.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Installs images and components in computers using detailed work instructions in Mobility, Roll out, and Mid-Tier work areas.</li> <li>Performs simple to moderate configuration jobs with limited assistance from Senior Technicians and Leads while following Work Instruction Documents</li> <li>Performs tagging, kitting, and reduced packaging, as well as labeling and re-boxing completed configured equipment.</li> <li>Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of computer operation and construction.</li> <li>Knowledge of, and the ability to identify, components, and software, used in computers.</li> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.</li> <li>Ability to use basic hand tools.</li> <li>Ability to work towards, and complete, the CompTIA A+ Certification.</li> <li>Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities</li> <li>Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization</li> <li>Good listening skills with ability to receive information completely and understand what is being said</li> </ul> <br /><br /><strong>Additional preferred competencies or preferred qualifications, if any:</strong><br /><br /> <ul> <li>A+ certification within first year of hire</li> </ul>
