Overview: <br />The Collection Analyst works under minimal supervision of the Collections Supervisor, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval. The Collections Analyst is responsible for the maintenance and collection of approximately 800 to 1100 customer accounts. The Analyst refers problems and issues for management review or approval related to customer problems and/or delinquencies. The Analyst processes held orders as available to be released. The Analyst has limited approval authority. The Analyst handles one assigned weekly or monthly report.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Works toward resolution of customer problems and/or delinquencies for collection issues regarding payment, price, tax, freight and returns.</li> <li>Works with 3 to 4 sales teams consisting primarily of 45 to 60 Account Managers and Senior Account Managers along with working with up to 4 Sales Managers and corresponding Site Directors towards resolution of a customer problem and/or delinquencies.</li> <li>Covers for co-workers for sick and/or vacation days.</li> <li>To ensure orders are processed timely, works with and releases around 100 to 150 held orders daily.</li> <li>Requests required documentation from Account Managers, such as hard copy purchase orders.</li> <li>Conducts detailed review of first-time shipping addresses and review of specific products to assist in Fraud Prevention.</li> <li>Limited approval authority Refer to Dept. Policies &amp; Procedures for authority levels.</li> <li>Handles one assigned department report that is completed either weekly or monthly (e.g., Weekly Numbers, ADL, Charge-Off Balancing, Rekeys, Salesforce Balancing, DNBi Upload, etc.). Assignment based on tenure.</li> <li>Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Basic computer knowledge with ability to operate a keyboard for data entry.</li> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with ability to create a document or simple spreadsheet.</li> <li>Good math skills with knowledge of basic accounting functions.</li> <li>Detail-oriented with item-by-item focus, meticulous attention to detail with ability to proofread for accuracy.</li> <li>Articulate with ability to express oneself clearly and professionally in written and oral communication.</li> <li>Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities.</li> <li>Team player with a willingness to learn.</li> </ul>
