Overview: <br />Working under minimal supervision of the Manager, Microsoft Customer Success, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Microsoft Solutions Associate (MSA) acts as a dedicated Microsoft solutions resource to Connection's Business Solutions Group (BSG) Account Managers and as a consultant for customers in the sub 500 user space. Utilizing business requirements analysis, the MSA provides solution guidance, recommendations, and purchasing options to our customers/prospects and Account Managers on Microsoft Modern Workplace, Azure, Professional Services, and Managed Services. Trains Account Managers to be able to provide efficient customer responses, utilizing tools including the Microsoft COE Resource Page, Volume License Portal, and the Microsoft Product Cheat Sheets. The MSA actively participates in Connection's and Microsoft training, keeping themselves updated on new technologies and product offerings.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Completes Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certifications within 12 months of hire.</li> <li>Acts as a dedicated consultative resource for Sales, Sales leadership, and customers focused on Microsoft Solutions providing recommendations that best fit the goals of the customer. <ul> <li>Delivers industry-based insights to our customers focusing on pain points leading to Microsoft modern solutions.</li> <li>Assesses quote solutions and identifies better program and product suite options to share with customers and Account Managers.</li> <li>Utilizes a customer-first approach focusing on positioning value-added services to the customer, such as managed and professional services leading to customer transformation.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Communicates with and trains Account Managers in order to be able to provide efficient customer responses, utilizing tools including the Microsoft COE Resource Page, Volume License Portal and the Microsoft Product Cheat Sheets.</li> <li>Focuses on process improvement for the development of sales tools; identifies gaps in existing tools and resources to streamline quoting customer solutions for sales. <ul> <li>Provides consistent feedback to management on options to improve tools and productivity.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Stays current on programs, technical knowledge, market trends and operational models. <ul> <li>Leverages self-paced Microsoft Training via Get License Ready and Partner University.</li> <li>Completes online research in order to stay abreast of new product developments.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Builds and maintains positive relations with vendors. <ul> <li>Reacts to vendor needs and balances the needs of Connection together in support of the customer.</li> <li>Identifies gaps in partner&rsquo;s toolkit and works with partners to create additional/improved resources.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Solutions and Programs with the ability to complete on-the-job training leading to certification.</li> <li>Proven sales, sales support, or similar experience with the ability to negotiate and present the best solutions.</li> <li>Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to present complex information to customers.</li> <li>Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials.</li> <li>Adaptable with the ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities.</li> <li>Articulate with the ability to express oneself clearly and professionally in written and oral communication.</li> <li>Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels in the organization.</li> <li>Intuitive with the ability to perceive others' feelings and motives quickly from subtle signals.</li> <li>Organized with the ability to document activities, anticipate problems, plan schedules, and monitor performance according to priorities and deadlines.</li> <li>Quick study with the ability to master a situation or learn new things with minimum direction or training.</li> </ul>
