As part of Connection&rsquo;s Cloud Center of Excellence (an advanced technology division), the Senior Cloud Solution Architect is the glue between Client and Connection sales teams, equally skilled in cloud architecture and elements of client sales motions.</p> <p>You have a clear understanding of hyper-converged and hybrid cloud technology while possessing your own practice area expertise, particularly within AWS or GCP. Working with enterprise and business clients, this role guides and maps clients&rsquo; goals at different levels of cloud depth across Azure, AWS, GCP, and other existing infrastructures.</p> <p>The Senior Cloud Solution Architect owns the Cloud best practice Infrastructure and Applications Development technical customer engagements, including architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects, and/or pilots.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Understands customers' overall applications portfolio, IT and business priorities, and success measures to design implementation architectures and solutions using IaaS, PaaS, DevOps &amp; Advanced Application integration.</li> <li>Ability to engage in meaningful discussions with clients and link their requirements to Connection&rsquo;s cloud solution services.</li> <li>Ability to manage client-facing meetings where you lead the solution discovery conversation.</li> <li>Engage with Connection&rsquo;s solution sales teams and clients as a key daily function</li> <li>Requires an individual client interaction skill as a primary responsibility and enjoys working with sales colleagues.</li> <li>Applies technical knowledge and customer insights to create a modernization roadmap. Architects solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments while orchestrating key resources and infusing key Infrastructure technologies (e.g., Azure/AWS/GCP hyper-convergence, Security, Networking, etc.), Application Development and DevOps technologies (e.g., App Service, containers, serverless, cloud-native, etc.) as appropriate.</li> <li>Ensures all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.</li> <li>Develops deep relationships with key customer IT decision-makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption within their company to enable them to be cloud advocates.</li> <li>Maintains technical skills and knowledge of market trends and competitive insights; collaborates and shares with the technical community.</li> <li>Responds to RFPs and identifies the best cloud platform for specific customer workloads and requirements</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>AWS and/or GCP competency and certifications (Azure is a plus)</li> <li>Understanding of AWS and/or GCP product offerings and best practices fit across IT landscape</li> <li>Prior success in consultative/complex technical solution sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications with ability to solve customer problems through cloud technologies and to orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual</li> <li>Proven history of building deep technical relationships with senior IT executives in large or highly strategic accounts. Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions/projects.</li> <li>Experience working with Sales and in client-facing roles.</li> <li>Acknowledged for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow-through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, IT management, Database Administrators, and Data Scientists)</li> <li>Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management</li> <li>Experience and understanding of large-scale application portfolios in enterprise-wide environments (Including migration of on-premises workloads to the cloud)</li> <li>Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following:</li> <li>Hold at least one domain expertise of cloud infrastructure solutions (i.e., BCDR, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, OSS, containers, and Infra as code technologies)</li> <li>Cloud application development solutions (e.g., PaaS, Serverless, API Management);</li> <li>Container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry);</li> <li>Experience with scalable architectures using Azure App Service, API management, Serverless technologies, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, etc.), API management, microservice frameworks, etc.</li> </ul>
