Overview: <p>One of our fantastic non-profit clients in the Woods Hole, MA area has an immediate opportunity for a contract Sr. Desktop Support Analyst. This will be a 6-month contract with the potential to extend longer. This is a hybrid role, 3 days a week onsite, 2 days a week remote.</p> <p>The contract Sr. Desktop Support Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day deskside tasks and duties. Hourly rate starts at $35/hr. depending on experience level. Candidates must be physically capable of walking around the campus on a daily basis.</p> <p>Connection offers contractors medical, dental, and vision benefits that begin the first of the month following the month of hire, and accrued sick time and one wellness day off!</p>
Responsibilities: Daily tasks include working with Microsoft technologies (Windows 7, 8, 10, Active Directory,) Apple System Platform technology, Linux, and Cisco CUCM and Jabber. Also a balance of deskside and helpdesk work on a daily basis.
Requirements: <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <ul> <li><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">5+ years' experience.</span></li> <li>Experience and broad knowledge of Microsoft technologies (i.e., Windows 7, 8, 10, Active Directory).</li> <li>Experience and broad knowledge of Apple system platform technology (OSX 10).</li> <li>Experience and&nbsp;<em>some</em>&nbsp;knowledge of Linux/UNIX system platform technology for desktop computers (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, RedHat).</li> <li>Experience with Help Desk ticketing systems; process flows.</li> <li>Knowledge of malware/antivirus application configuration and management.</li> <li>Knowledge of IT network infrastructure components and the various related technologies, such as switches, routers, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wireless.</li> <li>Knowledge of AV technology. Familiarity with server virtualization software for desktop computers (VMWare), and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).</li> <li>Knowledge of VOIP telephony services including Cisco CUCM and Jabber; Unified Communications.</li> <li>Proficient with the latest hardware platforms including multiprocessor ad multi-monitor setups; disk imaging; data recovery.</li> <li>Proficient with mobile platforms technologies (i.e., iPhone, iPad, Android, Surface).</li> <li>Knowledge of mobile phone technology and app configuration.</li> <li>Local travel as needed.
