Overview: <p><strong>Connection Services</strong>&nbsp;is seeking a&nbsp;<strong>Network Manager&nbsp;</strong>to join our Technical Staffing Division for a contract to hire opportunity working onsite in Brunswick, GA. This is full-time opportunity with benefits.</p> <p>The Director of Network &amp; Data Center Infrastructure provides strategic and operational leadership for the hospital&rsquo;s enterprise network and virtual infrastructure environments. This role is responsible for ensuring highly available, secure, and scalable network and data center services that support&nbsp;<strong>24/7 clinical and patient care operations</strong>. The Director partners closely with IT leadership, cybersecurity teams, and clinical stakeholders to align infrastructure capabilities with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term technology roadmaps.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide&nbsp;<strong>strategic leadership</strong>&nbsp;for enterprise network and data center virtual infrastructure, ensuring scalability, redundancy, performance, and security across all hospital facilities.</li> <li>Lead, mentor, and develop&nbsp;<strong>network engineering and infrastructure teams</strong>&nbsp;supporting wired, wireless, remote access, and data center technologies.</li> <li>Oversee the&nbsp;<strong>design, implementation, and ongoing operations</strong>&nbsp;of LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, virtualization platforms, and storage networking across multiple campuses and data centers.</li> <li>Ensure continuous compliance with&nbsp;<strong>HIPAA, PCI-DSS, Joint Commission standards</strong>, and industry cybersecurity best practices.</li> <li>Collaborate with executive IT leadership, cybersecurity teams, and&nbsp;<strong>clinical departments</strong>&nbsp;to align infrastructure capabilities with patient care, operational efficiency, and digital health initiatives.</li> <li>Lead large-scale&nbsp;<strong>network and data center modernization projects</strong>, including core switching upgrades, wireless refreshes, virtualization platform enhancements, and disaster recovery improvements.</li> <li>Serve as the senior escalation point for&nbsp;<strong>critical network and virtual infrastructure incidents</strong>, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution for clinical systems.</li> <li>Develop, document, and maintain&nbsp;<strong>network and virtualization standards, policies, and operational procedures</strong>&nbsp;to drive consistency and operational excellence.</li> <li>Manage vendor relationships, contracts, licensing, and&nbsp;<strong>budget planning</strong>&nbsp;for network, data center, and virtualization technologies.</li> <li>Participate in hospital governance committees related to&nbsp;<strong>cybersecurity, disaster recovery, business continuity, and technology strategy</strong>.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Education</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in&nbsp;<strong>Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.</strong></li> <li>Master&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum&nbsp;<strong>10 years of progressive experience</strong>&nbsp;in IT infrastructure, networking, and data center operations.</li> <li>At least&nbsp;<strong>5 years in a leadership or management role</strong>&nbsp;within a hospital or healthcare IT environment.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with&nbsp;<strong>enterprise virtualization platforms</strong>&nbsp;such as&nbsp;<strong>VMware, Nutanix, and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.</strong></li> <li>Strong background in&nbsp;<strong>storage networking and data center infrastructure</strong>&nbsp;supporting mission-critical systems.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Certifications (Preferred)</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Cisco CCNP or CCIE.</strong></li> <li><strong>Palo Alto PCNSE</strong>&nbsp;or equivalent advanced security certification.</li> <li><strong>ITIL and/or PMP</strong>&nbsp;certification.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Expert-level knowledge of&nbsp;<strong>network architecture</strong>&nbsp;including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, and SD-WAN.</li> <li>Deep understanding of&nbsp;<strong>virtualized and data center infrastructure</strong>&nbsp;design and operations.</li> <li>Strong leadership, team development, and&nbsp;<strong>project management</strong>&nbsp;capabilities.</li> <li>Solid working knowledge of&nbsp;<strong>HIPAA, NIST, and healthcare cybersecurity frameworks.</strong></li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner effectively with&nbsp;<strong>clinical, operational, and executive leadership.</strong></li> <li>Proven ability to manage complex, high-availability environments in a&nbsp;<strong>24/7 healthcare setting.</strong></li> </ul>
