This role is focused on hands-on execution and physical infrastructure support rather than senior-level architecture or engineering responsibilities.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul data-start="625" data-end="1041"> <li data-section-id="r7fek3" data-start="625" data-end="681">Install, remove, and rack servers and related hardware.</li> <li data-section-id="16q5mut" data-start="682" data-end="731">Mount rails, brackets, and supporting equipment.</li> <li data-section-id="1kwvfht" data-start="732" data-end="802">Perform structured cabling, patching, labeling, and cable management.</li> <li data-section-id="162mzei" data-start="803" data-end="848">Validate power connections and connectivity.</li> <li data-section-id="1njtvie" data-start="849" data-end="909">Assist with basic hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics.</li> <li data-section-id="15dor8c" data-start="910" data-end="967">Manage inventory, equipment staging, and asset handling.</li> <li data-section-id="1f61r21" data-start="968" data-end="1041">Provide general physical data center support and operational assistance.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>2+ years of experience working in a data center, IT infrastructure, or rack-and-stack environment.</li> <li>Experience installing and removing servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.</li> <li>Knowledge of structured cabling practices, including copper and fiber patching.</li> <li>Familiarity with rack layouts, cable management, power distribution units (PDUs), and data center best practices.</li> <li>Ability to perform physical installation tasks, including lifting and moving equipment as needed.</li> <li>Basic troubleshooting skills related to server hardware, cabling, and connectivity.</li> <li>Experience with inventory management and asset tracking.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Excellent communication and professionalism when interacting with team members and stakeholders.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>Because of the possibility for fraudulent job postings on many popular job boards, please be advised that Connection will never offer a position of employment without a complete interview process and communication with a &ldquo;live person."</p>
