The Sales Manager develops each member of their Sales team through understanding individual development needs and proactively coaching and catering to those specific needs. The Sales Manager also produces business results through account management reviews, pipeline and deal management, vendor engagement, business development partnership, customer involvement, sound decision making and profitability management while serving as first line of support to team members for logistics, customer issues, pricing inquiries, system and procedural questions and advice and issue escalation.
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Professional Development of Team Members:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Assess Cold Calling Capabilities: Observe team members&rsquo; performance through remote monitoring, direct monitoring, and joint customer calls.</li> <li>Collaborate with Sales Coaches on your new hires&rsquo; professional development.</li> <li>Constructive Feedback: Aid in all team members' (new and tenured) growth by regularly conducting one-on-one proactive coaching sessions, training, and skill development.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Goal Progress, Forecasting and Reporting:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Track and apprise team members of their progress toward achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual goals.</li> <li>Conduct periodic business reviews for each Account Manager.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Daily Operations:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure timely and accurate completion of timecards for payroll processing and address attendance or time recording issues promptly, involving HR as needed.</li> <li>Conducts ongoing and annual performance evaluations for assigned team members.</li> <li>Interviews and hires members of their sales teams.</li> <li>Serve as the first line of support to team members for logistics, customer issues, pricing inquiries, system and procedural questions, advice, and issue escalation.</li> <li>Produces business results through pipeline and deal management, vendor engagement, customer involvement, sound decision-making, and profitability management.</li> <li>Attends sales meetings and training sessions to enhance and maintain sales skills as well as technology industry trends.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul type="disc"> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to utilize email, create a document, or manipulate data in an Excel Spreadsheet.</li> <li>Experience working in a related technology field dealing with hardware, software and/or IT services.</li> <li>Previous outbound sales experience in an account management or account executive environment.</li> <li>Adept at proactively finding business opportunities within the existing customer base.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of Business Development with the ability to create new lines of business.</li> <li>Negotiation skills with the ability to secure the best purchasing agreement for customers and the company.</li> <li>Previous experience working with a CRM tool with a general ability to understand how it integrates with an order management system.</li> <li>Organized state of mind with the ability to document activities, anticipate problems, plan schedules, and monitor performance according to priorities and deadlines.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Professional experience managing or coaching inside sales teams.</li> <li>Experience working in the IT channel.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>Because of the possibility for fraudulent job postings on many popular job boards, please be advised that Connection will never offer a position of employment without a complete interview process and communication with a &ldquo;live person."</p>
