Overview: <p data-start="274" data-end="505">Join our client's data center operations team supporting critical hardware infrastructure. This hands-on role focuses on server installations, cabling, troubleshooting, and equipment lifecycle management in an enterprise environment.</p> <p data-start="274" data-end="505">&nbsp;</p> <strong data-start="507" data-end="520">Schedule:</strong><br data-start="520" data-end="523" /> <ul> <li>Monday&ndash;Friday, 10 AM &ndash; 7 PM</li> <li>Initial training: 1&ndash;2 weeks, 8 AM &ndash; 5 PM</li> <li>On-call rotation: 1 week/month ($100 stipend + paid hours worked)</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Container"> <div class="iCIMS_Expandable_Text"> <ul> <li>Install, rack, and maintain data center hardware (servers, storage, networking equipment).</li> <li>Perform rack/stack, cable management, and structured cabling (fiber &amp; copper).</li> <li>Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.</li> <li>Manage inventory, asset tracking, and equipment documentation.</li> <li>Ship/receive hardware and maintain accurate records.</li> <li>Work within a multi-team ticketing environment.</li> <li>Travel occasionally between Lake Forest Data Center and Elk Grove Village co-location site.</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <h2 class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoField_Job">&nbsp;</h2>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Understanding of data center infrastructure (servers, switches, firewalls, routers).</li> <li>Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.</li> <li>Experience documenting and tracking IT assets and hardware.</li> <li>Clear communication and ability to collaborate across teams.</li> <li>Comfortable climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
