Overview: <p>Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Network Engineer in Falls Church, VA. This is a long-term contract opportunity that is Hybrid and offers outstanding benefits.</p> <p><strong>The candidate must possess a previous (within 2 years) or existing United Stated SECRET clearance.</strong></p> <p>The Network Engineer will focus on expanding the capabilities of the&nbsp;<strong>Network Access Control (NAC) system</strong>&nbsp;and will play a key role in current NAC environment and working with a team to add new functionalities.</p> <p>Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Work with the existing NAC system (experience with ForeScout, Cisco ISE, ClearPass, or similar NAC solutions).</li> <li>Analyze network traffic and device behavior to identify areas for NAC improvement.</li> <li>Design and implement new NAC functionalities to enhance security posture.</li> <li>Collaborate with security and network operations teams.</li> <li>Document procedures and configurations for new NAC features.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li> <li>Familiarity with NAC platform, experience with ForeScout NAC a plus.</li> <li>3-5 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.</li> <li>Strong understanding of network security concepts, including access control principles.</li> <li>Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) is a plus.</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.</li> </ul>
