Human Resources Administrator

Reporting to our VP, Human Resources, we are looking for a <strong>Human Resources Administrator</strong> to join the team in Toronto. You will act as a critical point of support for the HR team, manage the end-to-end administration across the full employee lifecycle, and update, maintain and report on data and information in DayForce and SharePoint. In addition, you will screen, prioritize, and respond to employee requests related to the HR function.

Responsibilities: <p><strong>What you will do</strong></p> <ul> <li><em>Recruitment and onboarding. You will:</em> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain job descriptions and inventory and post internal and external job postings.Scheduling meetings with hiring managers, and completing reference checks.</li> <li>Prepare employment contracts, coordinate the signing process, manage new hire documentation, and process all related forms, system updates, and internal communications (i.e., triton checks, licenses, etc.).</li> <li>Coordinate and facilitate staff onboarding and orientation sessions and training programs.</li> </ul> </li> <li><em>HR System Administration. You will:</em> <ul> <li>Maintain all employment, student, contractors' files.Input and maintain employee information in the HRIS.</li> <li>Provide HRIS reports as required with analysis of data and trends.</li> <li>Update all HR content on the SharePoint site.</li> </ul> </li> <li><em>Employee Relations. You will:</em> <ul> <li>Advise and assist management in the interpretation, application, and implementation of HR practices and policies.Prepare employment verification letters.</li> <li>Support employee engagement and employee recognition programs.</li> <li>Collaborate with the HR Consultants as needed.</li> </ul> </li> <li><em>Compensation. You will:</em> <ul> <li>Prepare employee correspondence relating to all employment life cycle changes, including transfers, promotions, increases, reporting changes, and bonus and merit statement letters.</li> <li>Processes system and payroll updates for staff salary increases; liaise with payroll administrator to ensure all payroll data is submitted on time and accurately.</li> <li>Prepare memos for staff vacation entitlements, years of service letters, and awards.</li> </ul> </li> <li><em>HR Communications: You will:</em> <ul> <li>Own the HR mailbox.</li> <li>Draft town hall presentations and HR communications.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li><em>The education and experience.&nbsp;</em>You have completed, or you are working towards, a diploma in Human Resources Administration or the equivalent. You may be working towards your CHRP designation. You have 2+ years of experience supporting Human Resources, working directly with hiring managers and executives, and helping employees across the organization. You can update and enhance existing policies and processes, create employee letters and memos, input and optimize HR Data, and run reports. You understand the importance of maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of records and information.&nbsp;</li> <li><em>The knowledge</em>. You have an understanding of the applicable employment legislation in the various provinces in which we operate (i.e., Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontario Health &amp; Safety Act, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act).&nbsp;</li> <li><em>The technical skills.&nbsp;</em>You have hands-on experience using a Human Resources Information System. Dayforce is an asset, as is exposure to implementing new technology. You are highly proficient with MS Office Suite, including SharePoint.&nbsp;</li> <li><em>The accountability and collaboration.</em>&nbsp;You take ownership of your work and its impact on the organization.
