Overview: <p><strong><em>The Position</em></strong></p> <p>We are seeking a Regional Senior Sales Engineer who will build the South German, Swiss, Austrian region for a specific mechanical/electrical safety product sold into the oil, gas and pharma industries. Responsibilities: <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>Through understanding of customers applications and processes, educate customer on the product advantages and safety results through the use of the product offerings</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Provide technical knowledge to customer on product offerings, advantages and usage</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Approach, engage prospects and customers at all levels including site visits daily</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Attend industry conferences/events to promote company</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Deliver long-term targets as directed by Head of Sales and Marketing</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Understand market and competition in region to keep head office apprised of potential opportunities</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Develop weekly forecasts for projected sales in region</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Answer customer inquiries and other leads within short timelines as directed</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Generate individual sales plan including details on how goals will be achieved</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Document sales activities into CRM</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Reports to Head of Sales &amp; Marketing for Business Unit</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <p><strong>Qualifications and skills </strong></p> <p>Strong understanding in Germany chemicals industry</p> <p>Working knowledge of ATEX regulations</p> <p>Knowledge of hazardous chemicals industry &ndash; how they are made, transported and handled.</p> <p>Demonstrated experience in consultative selling approach</p> <p>Ability to work independently, self-motivated</p> <p>Strong organizational and planning abilities</p> <p>Ability to negotiate</p> <p>Success driven, target motivated mindset</p> <p>Passion to build new business</p> <p>Strong ability to build relationships within existing and new clients</p> <p>Team oriented</p> <p>Strategic mindset</p> <p>CRM experience &ndash; Sales Force a plus, proficient Microsoft office suite</p> <p>Fluent German and English</p> <p><strong>Education and experience</strong></p> <p>Engineering degree/diploma &ndash; mechanical, industrial or electrical</p> <p>3+ years experience selling mechanical/electrical products.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Experience selling into oil/gas/pharma &ndash; hazardous chemicals industry an advantage</p>
