The ideal candidate will have a progressive career in Content Strategy including Content Governance, Audit, and Architecture and a passion for working with government, non-profit, and other high social-impact industries. This candidate will also be well versed in human-centered design strategy and masterful at applying Content Strategy skills to solve complex problems.</p> <p>This is an incredible opportunity to build up a consulting practice area by establishing Content Strategy best practices, process definition, and growth areas for our client. The Director of Content Strategy will train, mentor, and manage consulting team members to ensure alignment, quality, and support. This will involve contributions on a variety of unique and exciting projects from the initial proposal phase through final delivery. Responsibilities: <div class="page" title="Page 2"> <div class="section"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> <ul> <li>Oversee the standardization of exemplary Content Strategy processes, services, best practices and deliverables</li> <li>Set goals for the Content Strategy practice area and hold yourself and your team accountable to deliver high quality work</li> <li>Build resources and practices to support quality assurance for Content Strategy services and deliverables Provide leadership and mentorship to the team, strategic skill/ process oversight and direction for all consultants delivering Content Strategy services</li> <li>Facilitate Content Strategy squad meetings to surface and solve issues/opportunities and improve processes Stay informed about industry trends and emerging best practices to sharpen our toolkit and shape the future of how our client provides Content Strategy services</li> <li>Participate in thought-leadership, representing the Content Strategy practice through publishing articles, speaking at events, and training others</li> <li>Identify and develop opportunities for training/ capacity/ skill building for the team</li> <li>Identify and develop new services in collaboration with the Director of Business Development</li> <li>Lead, manage and hold accountable consulting team members</li> <li>Advise the UX practice Manager on client project staff resourcing decisions based on knowledge of team skills/interests</li> <li>Support team hiring and recruiting efforts to build and strengthen the team</li> <li>Achieve billable target (direct work on client projects as well as billable work consulting and guiding other team members as they work on client projects)</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> </div>
Requirements: <div class="page" title="Page 2"> <div class="section"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> <ul> <li>A strong track record of thought leadership and advanced skills in Content Strategy</li> <li>Experience leading and overseeing the strategic direction on human-centered design projects</li> <li>Ability to build close partnerships with clients to help navigate tough challenges and ambiguity Experience teaching or mentoring others in Content Strategy</li> <li>Experience building systems, processes, and artifacts that support Content Strategy practice quality and efficiency</li> <li>At least 7 years&rsquo; experience in a Content Strategy focused role</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> </div>
