Manager

Overview: This role is ideal for an IT and cybersecurity professional to take a leading role in a global company! Our client is looking for a demonstrated hands-on and agile leader who is willing to take on small and large-scale projects covering their North American region. This role will work closely with cybersecurity peers in Europe and Asia too.<br /><br />This role provides a unique opportunity to participate in strategy development and implement cybersecurity operations in this low-hierarchy company culture for North America. This position will need a strong influencing personality to motivate peers and leaders (up to the C-level) to create change and positive impact.<br /><br />If you have international exposure, are able to influence other industry leaders, and are looking for an opportunity where you can grow, this position may be a great fit for you!
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Advising leadership on best practices regarding the IT and cybersecurity infrastructures</li> <li>Collaborate with internal leadership team to provide highest level of protection to external threats through the development of a security platform</li> <li>Consult with North America team to guide effective communications campaigns and stimulate awareness around data, privacy, and security matters</li> <li>Review and offer recommendations on global security guidelines and strategy</li> <li>Implement awareness and educational training</li> <li>Perform security assessments</li> <li>Keep manuals and documentation (e.g. incident plans) up-to-date</li> <li>This role will have a North American scope, but international exposure is a plus!</li> <li>Some travel required</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Comfortability with the CSIRT (crisis management) framework</li> <li>Experience managing projects or programs to achieve information security objectives</li> <li>Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT or Cybersecurity</li> <li>Bachelor's in computer science, IT, engineering, or information systems required</li> <li>Cybersecurity certifications with demonstrated application of learned concepts required (CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications)</li> <li>Collaborative and strong communicator</li> <li>A motivated and hands-on leader</li> </ul>
