Overview: <div class="page" title="Page 1"> <div class="section"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> <div class="page" title="Page 1"> <div class="section"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> <p>Our confidential client is seeking an experienced, analytical, innovative and self driven Plant Controller to join the America's Team in their Atlanta Metro area facility, providing advice and guidance to Operations at three manufacturing facilities. This role will have a significant impact in all major business decisions and will be crucial to the success of the organization.</p> <p>The responsibility of this individual contributor position will include monitoring and analyzing all costs and its development associated with manufacturing clients&rsquo; products. This included inhouse manufacturing, outsourced manufacturing and bought-out materials and services. Will be actively involved in month-end closing, analyzing and commenting financial statements from an operational perspective, providing support in the delivery of corporate tasks and objectives.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will be a technologically and systems savvy individual, with a proven track of experience in process implementation/optimization, strong strategic and tactical skills, with working experience in evolving processes within manufacturing environments. <strong>Crucial to this role is knowledge of various costing systems (actual, standard, ABC) including calculation of labor and machine rates as well as MOH, POH and SG&amp;A allocation rates, productivity and efficiency, absorption variances, order and non-order related COGS, bill-of-materials and manufacturing routings, inventory management and valuations. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Planning, analyzing, and collecting data to determine costs of business activities, such as work center rates, labor and overhead</li> <li>Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing analyses/reports on a regular basis</li> <li>Making estimates of new and proposed product costs</li> <li>Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services</li> <li>Identify, develop and maintain relevant dashboards, scorecards and key performance indicators</li> <li>Analyzing PPV and working closely with Operations to identify cost reduction opportunities</li> <li>Coordinating physical count and cycle count programs, as well as analyzing variances</li> <li>Reconciling inventory accounts</li> <li>Preparing inventory reserves calculation and analysis</li> <li>Participating in preparation of capital requests</li> <li>Assisting in Month-end Close of the General Ledger and Reporting</li> <li>Participating in annual budget and monthly forecast preparations</li> <li>Interface with external independent auditors</li> <li>CAPA/TINA audits</li> <li>Completes government surveys and other official requirements</li> <li>Additional work assignments, based on organizational needs</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>7+ years of&nbsp;costing and budgeting experience in a manufacturing environment</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations or equivalent experience</li> <li>MBA and APICS certification, preferred</li> <li>Strong technology and systems skills with proven experience in ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Power BI and Hyperion Financial Management, Advanced Excel skills.</li> <li>Ability to collaborate in a diversity of functions and projects at all levels within the Organization</li> <li>Proven leadership/management skills</li> <li>Ability to work independently on complex problems with minimal guidance</li> <li>Proven experience and good judgement in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain optimal results</li> <li>Strong partnership ability to work closely with other finance and operations team members</li> </ul>
