Overview: <p class="_04xlpA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body"><span class="S1PPyQ">The Industrial Engineer is responsible for prioritizing investment, implementation, and continuous improvement related elements for capital machine equipment and services for factory production including optimizing workflow and being a primary driver for Lean initiatives. This person will also perform fabrication work, so prior experience is an added bonus! We are looking for an independent, project based person who is comfortable asking questions and collaborating as needed.</span></p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing industry role</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Reducing cycle time</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Meeting or exceeding KPIs as set by the Plant Manager</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Collaborate with the planning and design teams, supply chain, and quality</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Calculating feeder lines</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Optimize factory layouts for flow and efficiency</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Remove redundant machines and equipment in consultation with management</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Run and support Lean projects, as required by the business (such as 5S, productive maintenance, visual controls, machine set-up projects)</span></li> <li>Assess investment and improvement projects and prepare detailed business cases to present to Management</li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Manage all aspects of implementation, including foundation construction, utility infrastructure, installation, training of operators &amp; programmers and commissioning</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Create acceptance tests with manufacturing Engineering input to ensure successful handover of key equipment (CNC machines, painting line, etc.) to manufacturing and maintenance departments</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Support Sourcing and Purchasing functions with qualification of 3rd party suppliers for industrial processes</span></li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Fluent English language skills (oral and written)</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Highly organized, influential, detail oriented, adaptable, resilient, and dependable</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is required</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Prior experience with an ERP is required</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Process oriented mentality and skillset</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Able to work in a fast paced, high functioning, and dynamic organization</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Approximately 5-10 years of experience or at least 3 years in fabrication</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Able to travel as needed, up to 25% domestic</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly, painting, plating, surface treatments and basic electrics)</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Knowledge of business systems, such as ERP, CNC programming, CADCAM, MRP, PDM, NCR</span></li> <li><span class="S1PPyQ">Thorough understanding of production business drivers, such as productivity, utilization, OEE, costing, etc.</span></li> </ul>
