The ideal candidate will bring a broad commercial knowledge, have change management capabilities, and having strategic conversations with clients.</p> <p>The Director of Sales and Marketing is expected to serve their well known customers, hold a key leadership role that will generate new business, strengthen their existing business, and both form and support a dynamic and growing team. Responsibilities: <div class="page" title="Page 1"> <div class="section"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> <ul> <li>Development and management of a sales and marketing with appropriate sales channels and internal sales support</li> <li>Designing and executing the sales and go-to-market strategies in coordination with the product line strategy and the Global Marketing team</li> <li>Ensure strong alignment with GPM (Global Product Management), RS, and E&amp;C</li> <li>Responsible for defining and implementing the sales and market strategy in coordination with the product line strategy (all product lines)</li> <li>Definition of sales objectives, as well as the ongoing review of their progress and implementation</li> <li>Development and management of an organization for product marketing and digital marketing (combination of internal and external resources)</li> <li>Develop pricing for products and services, ensuring that the organization has profitable margins based on budget targets across the entire product mix</li> <li>Securing the order intake and sales budget, as well as the achievement of the budgeted gross margin and EBIT</li> <li>Managing customer contracts and agreements including identifying and responding to potential risks</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> </div>
Requirements: <div class="page" title="Page 2"> <div class="section"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> <ul> <li>5+ years international sales experience or 3+ years in a sales team management role</li> <li>Engineering background preferred (electrical technology or mechanical engineering) with a high affinity for sales. Alternatively sales, marketing or commercial training in the Capital goods, mechanical and electrical industries</li> <li>Proven track record of Sales experience in the industrial, defense, machinery, and related industries with embedded products is strongly preferred</li> <li>Fluent or native German speaker and comfortable with the English language (written and oral). Additional languages, a plus</li> <li>Strong communicator, adaptable, and technologically savvy</li> <li>Experience in the formulation and implementation of the market segment strategy (go-to-market strategy)</li> <li>Proven track of experience on the definition of customer channels and their performance management.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience utilizing marketing communication measures based on the defined product/market strategy</li> <li>Well-rounded market knowledge and ability to expand business relationships at all hierarchical levels</li> <li>Conducting customer surveys and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction</li> <li>Electrical or mechanical engineering degree or similar university degree ideal with additional degree in business administration, sales or marketing, preferred</li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> </div>
