Responsibilities: <p><strong>Key Responsibilities and Objectives</strong></p> <p>Overall and global responsibility for the quality level of products &amp; services.</p> <p>Establishes and drives quality initiatives that advance improvement in both delivery and cost, while aligned to Corporate Core Value Drivers and Business Unit KPIs.</p> <p>Ensures the Quality organization is a full partner in driving company / site initiatives and improving business operations performance.</p> <p>Creates the Quality Control Manual, Quality Control Procedures, and Inspection Plans &amp; Procedures.</p> <p>Ensures product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and government requirements; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methods.</p> <p>Supports the Company's operations and sales teams and assist with project scheduling to assure that timelines and deadlines are met in the most efficient and economical manner.</p> <p>Resolves quality issues with vendors, customers and company personnel.</p> <p>Responsible to maintain and direct an effective failure reporting and corrective actions.</p> <p>Leads the efforts to solve major customer complaints.</p> <p>Develops new QC/inspection methods and metrics to meet internal requirements, customer specifications and industry specifications on both high-throughput and custom parts.</p> <p>Conducts audits both internally and externally, determine root causes and take corrective actions and prevent any deficiencies and discrepancies observed.</p> <p>Responsible for defining and maintaining an Internal Audit Schedule in accordance with AS9100.</p> <p>Establishes and maintains the vendor rating system and performs periodic on-site vendor quality audits. Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.</p> <p>Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing professional networks; participating in professional societies.</p> <p>Promotes employee development by actively engaging in coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer, training, performance management and career development.</p> <p>Achieves financial objectives by preparing the quality assurance budget.</p> <p>Oversees, manages and directs the activities of Receiving, In-Process, and Final Inspection team members.</p> <p>Responsible for the management of inspections, first article verifications, capability reporting and quality documentation.</p> <p>Achieve and maintain an active J-STD-001, Class 3 Inspector Certification.</p> <p><strong>Qualifications and skills &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Understanding of product compliance, industry, consumer and MIL-SPEC</p> <p>Intimately familiar with Statistical Process Control methods and techniques and responsible for the implementation of SPC metrics within the company.</p> <p>Compliance and regulatory background, including the administration of a Quality Management System</p> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</p> <p>Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently</p> <p>Complex problem skills and able to identify, develop and implement solutions</p> <p>Highly organized and superior time management skills</p> <p>Able to be an attentive listener</p> <p>Strong analytical skills</p> <p>Experience working in a multi-cultural and diverse environment</p>
Requirements: <p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p> <p>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Engineering required</p> <p>At least 5 years of experience in Quality Control management in a manufacturing environment</p> <p>SAP or other ERP experience</p>
