Responsibilities: <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates and executes strategies for assigned motor category within European region</li> <li>Ensures strong alignment with global counterparts</li> <li>Requests approval of strategies and preferred suppliers from procurement leadership</li> <li>Develops Annual Sourcing Effectiveness Plans in alignment with guidance and group targets</li> <li>Dotted line management of strategic buyers on site within EMEA region</li> <li>Builds strong and trusting relationship with over 100 suppliers through partnership culture, ensuring strong communication, and leading categories by value-based decisions not just pricing.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Monitor the financial health and quality of the supply base and address risks.</li> <li>Identifies internal customer requirements across the entire organization and collaborates with internal customers to drive procurement value and customer satisfaction within the designated categories.</li> <li>Drive best solutions through ongoing category management, planning, mapping, budgeting, performance of supplier, compliance, spend management, market intelligence</li> <li>Manage new supplier selection projects, sourcing strategy, process for selection and improvement on process, negotiations and contract administration</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p>Qualifications and Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to develop and manage a large group of suppliers and coordinate sourcing activities for several sites within Europe </li> <li>Strong team player and able to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment</li> <li>A driven, target-focused self-starter with a proven track record in working independently</li> <li>Excellent communication skill and possess the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization internationally</li> <li>Skilled negotiator with the ability to exert influence</li> <li>Experience with various purchasing software, excellent analytical abilities</li> <li>Ability to travel up to 75% (primarily within EMEA region)</li> <li>Fluent in oral and written English&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license, passport and clean background check&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Education and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering topics preferred</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience in regional category management in a heavy manufacturing industry</li> <li>Knowledge in motor manufacturing preferred</li> <li>Experience across several international countries required</li> <li>Experience working in a matrix organization helpful</li> </ul>
