This client company offers the opportunity to grow and develop your own team, and in turn be a part new opportunities as the company grows.</p> <p>The IT Operations Manager&rsquo;s role is to supervise and ensure the efficient operation of the network, client servers, databases, and equipment for a data center. This includes managing the IT staff responsible for monitoring and diagnosing network and hardware problems. The Operations Manager will also work closely with the IT executive staff and decision makers in other departments in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <h2>Strategic operational planning and organization of projects dealing with the allocation of IT resources.</h2> <p>Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations, including conducting system feasibility studies and testing.</p> <p>Oversee all reports, maintenance schedules and documentation related to network and systems operations.</p> <p>Develop and implement all functional policies and procedures, including those for network architecture, standards, purchasing, and service provision.</p> <p>Secure and ensure that IT infrastructure and technology complies with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and with internal and external service level standards and policies agreed or adopted</p> <p>Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT systems, including networks, data centers, servers, PCs, operating systems, and associated hardware.</p> <p>Analyze existing operations and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the network infrastructure and IT systems.</p> <p>Develop requests for proposal and manage IT infrastructure/technology vendor/supplier relationships and procurement of goods/services.</p> <p>Management responsibilities including supervision, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.</p> <p>Assist in the provisioning of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Reports to: Group Head of IT Service</strong></p> <div> <p>&nbsp;</p> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p> <div>&nbsp;</div>
Requirements: <p><strong>Qualifications and Skills</strong></p> <p>Experience with regulatory frameworks (i.e. ISO27001).</p> <p>Experience and knowledge of ITIL V3 and project management principles</p> <p>Significant understanding of network and PC operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Windows 7/10, Ubuntu Linux.</p> <p>Knowledge of virtualization technology based on VMware and Citrix</p> <p>Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including Cisco Switch/Router/Firewall, Checkpoint UTM, VPN, VOIP, general network concepts and protocols e.g. routing, VLANs, ACL, OSPF, IP, UDP, ISDN, SIP, SFTP.</p> <p>Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p> <p>University degree in the field of computer science or information systems and 5 years IT management experience</p> <p>ITIL V3 certifications</p> <div> <p>&nbsp;</p> </div>
