Overview: <p>Exciting opportunity to join an international leader in the packaging solutions industry, driving new business development in a region that spans the states of MA, CT, NH, VT, ME and NY.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have an engineering or scientific background combined with extensive sales and business development experience. Our client is looking for someone who is passionate about developing business relationships, partnering with clients to create innovative solutions that help drive business growth while creating win-win alliances.</p> <p>In addition to working in an exciting, technology-driven environment, this role provides the opportunity to grow within an international business. This position offers the added flexibility of being based from a home office when not traveling to meet clients and key stakeholders.</p>
Responsibilities: <p>Research new opportunities to generate business in the pharma and biotech industries across the assigned region</p> <p>Build on already strong business and technical understanding of the targeted pharma and biotech sectors to develop deep network</p> <p>Attend networking events, trade fairs and meetings with customers and potential clients</p> <p>Build and sustain strong, lasting business relationships in a dynamic environment</p> <p>Assess and implement effective sales strategies</p> <p>Develop business pipeline, managing effectively from seeding to production</p> <p>Collaborate with R&amp;D, marketing and production areas to help ensure timely delivery of customer solutions</p> <br />
Requirements: <p>Degree (masters a plus) in engineering, science or scientific-based subject</p> <p>At least 10 years&rsquo; experience selling into the biotech and/or pharma industries</p> <p>Self-starter with ability to work independently and be self sufficient</p> <p>Able to travel up to 80% across the territory</p> <p>Excellent networking and relationship development skills</p> <p>Entrepreneurial spirit</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><em>Education and experience</em></strong></p> <p>10 Years&rsquo; sales experience in biotech and/or pharma industries with strong network in assigned territory</p> <p>Degree (masters a plus) in an engineering discipline or science or science-related subject</p>
