Overview: The Project Mangaer will be an experienced Product Manager with strong technical acumen.&nbsp; This role will help lead innovation and product development across global markets. Based in the Ostrava region of the Czech Republic, the position holder will plan and manage the development of new electrical equipment, while identifying new opportunities and markets for growth around the world. The Project Manager will help drive initiatives to support the long-term growth plan, including identifying ways to deliver sustained business development, while maintaining and increasing margins across the brands. <p>&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop a deep understanding of assigned product line&rsquo;s overall performance and profitability.&nbsp; Monitor overall performance and report on key metrics as appropriate</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Make changes to the product lines as needed. Manage the process from concept to production, including sales and margin analysis, competitive and overall market analysis, product line extension and discontinuation recommendations</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Plan presentations to management and execute approved changes</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Work effectively across the organization with internal Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Marketing and Sales teams</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Develop new products within assigned product lines.&nbsp; Conduct research to determine product viability and work with internal teams on pricing and product positioning&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Conduct competitive benchmarking for assigned product lines by gathering competitive intelligence and monitoring competitive actions</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Monitor activities of external influencers such as; government agencies, consumer groups, vendor innovations, technological advances, etc. which may affect product design and/or usage</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Establish and maintain competitive research and analysis across global markets</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Reports to Global Director of Product Management</strong></p>
Requirements: <p><strong>Qualifications and skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 4-6 years prior Product Management or Marketing experience, preferably within durable goods or appliance manufacturing segment</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Additional experience in Marketing, Sales, and/or Engineering is a plus</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Business/Financial Acumen &ndash; understands P&amp;L statements, ROI fundamentals, profitability management.Able to interpret cause &amp; affect relationships with respect to their profitability impact</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of data management systems including; Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, SAP, Business Objects Systems, working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to interact effectively with cross functional personnel and multi-disciplinary teams involving Engineering, Sales, IT, and Manufacturing/Operations</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to analyze situations and develop meaningful assessments via effective syntheses of industry experience, Sales and customer/end user contacts &amp; feedback, market research, competitive evaluation, and self-directed investigation</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Technical competence and understanding of mechanical &amp; electrical systems, fluid dynamics and metal fabrication</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Comfortable conducting investigations, research and analysis where the answer is not immediately clear</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Must possess strong Communication and Time Management skills</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Education and experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required, MBA strongly preferred</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Native level Czech and fluent in English</li> </ul>
