Worker I

$13 - $22 per hour Depending on Experience

Overview: <p>Intake &amp; Eligibility Workers are responsible for processing applications for households in our service area and determining their eligibility to our programs according to established guidelines. They process and maintain customer records, assist customers and respond to inquiries, conduct data entry, and provide program information/support.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Receive and route telephone calls, respond to customer inquiries, and provide program information.</li> <li>Assist customers with filling out forms.</li> <li>Make mathematical calculations and verify data accuracy.</li> <li>Receive, open, sort, and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail.</li> <li>Visit satellite sites for customer service.</li> <li>Conduct off-site outreach and intake activities</li> <li>Complete outreach and marketing calls</li> <li>Operate a variety of standard office equipment including personal computer, printer, copier, fax machine, calculator, and postage machine.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bilingual and bi-literate in Spanish required.</li> <li>Good organizational skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Excellent customer service skills.</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written).</li> <li>Operate office equipment (multi-line phone, calculator, photocopiers, fax, postage machine) quickly and accurately.</li> <li>Type 40 wpm from clear copy.</li> <li>Ability to learn rules, methods, policies and procedures of the workplace.</li> <li>Ability to work cooperatively with others and maintain effective work relationships with all those contacted in the course of performing required duties.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Computer Proficiency Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System</li> <li>Microsoft Word</li> <li>Microsoft Excel</li> <li>Microsoft&nbsp;Outlook</li> <li>Microsoft&nbsp;Access</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>
