This position requires little delegation of details or responsibilities, it is important that close, quick and critical follow up occur to recognize and correct mistakes.<br /> <p>This position partners with CHAMPS Oncology leadership, programmers, CTRs and customers to analyze cancer program and registry data, understand client goals and leverage our data to uncover metrics to support program initiatives and ensure a return on investments. The analyst will manage data requests from clients, understand customer information needs in order to generate additional reporting related to their initiatives and proactively mine the data for insightful information guided by current cancer trends. The position analyzes, interprets and visualizes data and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, report writing and analyzing data flows for improvement opportunities.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p> <ul> <li>Responsible for turning data into insight that informs, identifies trends, answers questions and provides recommendations to customers about their cancer program</li> <li>Generates reports/queries, including writing maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.</li> <li>Facilitates brainstorming and data analysis sessions with key stakeholders designed to address insights found in their data</li> <li>Participate in client interviews and meetings to understand their cancer program and develop a customized analytics plan</li> <li>Interprets results using a variety of techniques from simple data aggregation to complex statistical analysis</li> <li>Reviews reports for quality and accuracy including working with technical staff on data validation activities</li> <li>Demonstrates a commitment toward meeting and exceeding customers&rsquo; expectations and consistently adheres to customer service standards</li> <li>The ability to focus on complex problem solving techniques and generate innovative ideas</li> <li>Compares data from different sources to draw conclusions and influence decision makers</li> <li>Utilizes interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish goals. Requirements: <p><strong>Required Education and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, informatics, information management or related field</li> <li>3-5 years&rsquo; experience in working with healthcare data management - Cancer information management experience highly desired</li> <li>Proficient in business intelligence tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau)</li> <li>Understanding of all 3 areas of data analytics- Descriptive (data mining and business intelligence)</li> <li>Predictive (forecasting), and prescriptive (optimization and simulation)</li> <li>SQL experience a plus</li> </ul>
