Charter Schools USA (CSUSA)

It all started as a policy paper on charter schools. After serving as a researcher for The Heritage Foundation, CSUSA’s Founder, President, and CEO Jon Hage, became Director of Research at the Foundation for Florida’s Future, a public policy organization founded by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush. He wrote his now-famous comprehensive paper on charter schools and collected vast knowledge on what was happening with the first charter schools around the country. This gave him a front-row seat at the table to help draft Florida legislation to authorize charter schools. Soon after the charter law was passed, he helped create the first charter school in Florida. Jon then started a non-profit foundation to help advise charter schools on how to get applications approved. Just a year later, in 1997, he started Charter Schools USA (CSUSA). https://www.charterschoolsusa.com/
