Overview: Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Supervisor, the Corporate Staff Accountant is responsible for compiling financial information and performing accounting functions for Charter Schools USA and/or subsidiaries within established deadlines.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Performs bank reconciliations.</li> <li>Prepares and posts journal entries.</li> <li>Approve vendor bills in accordance with provided budgets.</li> <li>Performs Balance Sheet account reconciliations.</li> <li>Evaluate Income Statement monthly for accuracy and correct any financial discrepancies.</li> <li>Create and update Excel worksheets as part of the ledger reconciliations, using advanced Excel features.</li> <li>Review and reconcile AP/AR Variances between various entities.</li> <li>Regular evaluation of Receivables and estimated payment status. This will require being the lead in monthly meetings with corresponding team members to collaborate on cash planning &amp; collection.</li> <li>Assist Controller in cash forecasting and projections for corporate entities.</li> <li>Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for all company transactions. Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field.</li> <li>2-5 years related experience.</li> <li>Computer Basics -- MS Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)</li> <li>Skilled in Excel at the intermediate/advanced level</li> <li>Experience with intracompany transactions a plus</li> <li>Oracle (NetSuite) preferred</li> <li>Commitment to company values.</li> <li>Such alternatives to the above requirements as CSUSA may find appropriate and acceptable.</li> </ul> Skills and Knowledge&nbsp;<br /> <ul> <li>Related experience in various industries.</li> <li>Ensure that all financial records and transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.
