Keys Gate Charter School-FL918

Overview: Responsible for providing curriculum training and support to teachers and assisting with curriculum implementation as directed by school leadership, including supporting prior week of NTI. Conducts ongoing staff development, performs periodic classroom visitations, collects and reports quarterly student data, and monitors programs.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develops and conducts in-service training for all teachers regarding the curriculum, researched-based instructional strategies, and best practices.</li> <li>Provides support to school administration in preparation for (New Teacher Induction NTI/Returning Teacher Orientation RTO) approximately two weeks prior to start of teacher training and two weeks post end of school year to support close out of end year operations, as assigned by administration.</li> <li>Performs periodic classroom visitations, assists teachers in the improvement of instructional performance, performs periodic binder reviews, and monitors improvement.</li> <li>Demonstrates lessons in classroom situations for observation by teachers.</li> <li>Trains new teachers in the use of the applicable Student Information System (SIS) and school-based resources and procedures.</li> <li>Facilitates grade level and/or subject area team meetings.</li> <li>Serves as a resource to school administrators and content area teachers in identifying reading needs, adapting instructional techniques, and implementing reading strategies across the curriculum.</li> <li>Assists with the development of school literacy initiatives.</li> <li>Collects, analyzes, and reports school and student benchmark data.</li> <li>Initiates and maintains effective liaisons with district and professional associations to maintain a current knowledge of Reading and instructional best practices.</li> <li>Attends monthly CSUSA Curriculum Cadres.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree (BA) from an accredited college or university or equivalent.</li> <li>Master's Degree preferred and teaching certificate as appropriate.</li> <li>Minimum of three (3) years of K-12 classroom teaching with demonstrable positive impact on achievement.</li> <li>Demonstrated evidence of involvement in school activities involving leadership responsibilities.</li> <li>Possession of valid teaching certification (as appropriate).</li> <li>Successful results of criminal and employment background check.</li> <li>Effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication skills.</li> <li>Commitment to company values.</li> <li>Adherence to the requirements of the Code of Ethics for the Education Profession.</li> <li>Such alternatives to the above requirements as CSUSA may find appropriate and acceptable.</li> </ul> <br />SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE<br /> <ul> <li>Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the position and the mission of the company; support the company's values in the strategic areas of academic excellence, operational performance, superior culture, and financial health and growth, as outlined in the Employee Handbook.</li> <li>Possesses strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.</li> <li>Has the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, the community, and administrative staff.
