Overview: <h4>Reports to the Accounting Manager and assists with multiple duties regarding accounting functions of Charter Schools USA within established deadlines. The Staff Accountant provides a wide variety of customer services for school locations.</h4> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for multiple entities, which includes the following: <ul> <li>Perform bank reconciliations.</li> <li>Prepare and post required journal entries.</li> <li>Review &amp; reconcile all balance sheet accounts.</li> <li>Prepare summary of significant events and budget variances.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Prepare supporting documentation for financial statements including balance sheet schedules and other reconciliations.</li> <li>Work closely with independent auditors during annual financial statement audit with preparing schedules and invoices, providing explanations of supporting materials and procedures, and preparing any other necessary data.</li> <li>Posting of accounts to the General Ledger for: <ul> <li>Accounts Receivable</li> <li>Cash Receipts</li> <li>Accounts Payable</li> <li>Cash Disbursements</li> <li>Payroll</li> </ul> </li> <li>Maintain records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material; update records as necessary.</li> <li>Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, schools, and others in a courteous and professional manner.</li> <li>Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.</li> <li>Provide support such as schedules, data, information, etc. for the annual budget process.</li> </ul> <br /> <br /><strong>**MAY PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED**</strong><br /> <br /><strong> DISCLAIMER</strong><br /> <br />The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
