Overview: <p><strong>The opportunity</strong></p> <p>CPA Ontario is currently in search of a <strong>Financial Reporting and Professional Development, CPA</strong>. This is a newly created role that will help drive and support our Professional Development team with their mandate of delivering professional development content to our provincial members. We are looking for someone who can lead our team of 4, manage our inter-provincial technical learning programs and be responsible for conducting data analytics and month-end financial reporting and analysis.</p> <p><strong>Who you are</strong></p> <p>You are a CPA with at least 5 years of post-designation industry experience. Responsibilities: <p><strong>What you will manage:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The day-to-day operations of the Professional Development team which includes a Manager and 3 Coordinators.</li> <li>Professional Learning and Development Provincial Committee (&ldquo;PLDPC&rdquo;) content development processes, including proposals and content reviews.</li> <li>Relationships and workflow plans with PLDPC course authors, content advisors and technical reviewers.</li> <li>Reviews of PLDPC course content for consistency with proposals.</li> <li>The development and analysis of Key Performance Indicators for the team to provide predictive analytics that will aid in decision-making.</li> <li>Month-end financial reporting and analysis processes, including accruals.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>So, how do we know you are the new&nbsp;Financial Reporting and Professional Development, CPA for us? You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education. You have a Bachelor's degree and your CPA designation.</li> <li>The experience. You have been applying your knowledge of accounting, assurance and financial reporting principles including ASPE and IFRS for a minimum of 5 years post designation. Prior involvement or experience in course development and delivery is preferred.</li> <li>The leadership.
