Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package

Overview: <p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">This position performs a variety of functions in servicing Commercial Construction and Renovation loans as set forth by Chemical Bank policy. Activities may include documentation, disbursement, balancing, and administration of commercial construction loans, as well as the review of construction-related documents. The position may also involve engaging third party consultants and service providers for inspections and pre-construction reviews.</span></p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Tracks construction loan requests sent in for approval, sets up loans in departmental processing system, reviews new loans submitted for funding.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Tracks construction progress on each loan to ensure that funds requested correlate with the work completed pursuant to the approved budget. Approves and directs the release of funds pursuant to legal documents, as well as standard policies and procedures</span><span style="font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Communicates with other third party consultants and vendors as necessary to ensure that all appropriate due diligence for construction loans has been competed prior to draw funding</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Manages and monitors construction loans by evaluating each draw request and inspection report; tracks inspection report findings on a per property basis for resolution. </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Processes draw requests, reviews budget and cost breakdowns as needed. May manage inspection process, order third party inspections, submit invoices for payment. </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Process disbursements for draw requests.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Monitor and update hazard and liability insurance expirations. </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Develops and maintains knowledge of policies and procedures related to commercial construction.</span></li> </ul> <div class="iCIMS_InfoMsg iCIMS_InfoMsg_Job">&nbsp;</div>
Requirements: <ul> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Minimum of 5 years commercial real estate background (preferably in construction loan administration) which may include specific skills and knowledge associated with real estate processing, closing, underwriting or servicing experience in a commercial or construction lending environment. Expertise and knowledge of title insurance, legal descriptions, compliance procedures, property inspection, appraisal, lien laws, and construction underwriting standards desirable. </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Previous experience with general office equipment &amp; automated computer/software systems at an acceptable level of proficiency including systems associated with loan set-up, document preparation, construction draws, &amp; accounting. Proficiency in the use of Word, Outlook and Excel. </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Knowledge of basic accounting/bookkeeping fundamentals related to loan servicing, including a basic understanding of mathematics, debits/credits, account balancing and their relationship to a general ledger system. General knowledge in proofing/balancing of accounts, transactions and/or data entry. </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Ability to read, understand and apply internal guidelines/requirements within the assigned scope of authority. Ability to independently examine/validate documents, identify variances, errors or procedural non-compliance and take appropriate action to correct within the assigned scope of authority. </span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Excellent customer service and communication skills. Excellent grammatical, oral, writing, spelling and proofreading skills, with ability to express self clearly and effectively in writing as well as on the telephone and in person.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Excellent work ethic and strong ability to work in a team environment with other employees, internal &amp; external customers, third party vendors and consultants.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: 'Verdana',sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;">Strong problem solving skills, good judgment &amp; confidence in making decisions, ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential information.
