Overview: <p style="margin: 8pt 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 10pt;">As part of the Total Rewards team, the Compensation Consultant will partner with business lines to assess compensation needs and align with compensation programs. This position acts as an in-house advisor for researching market trends and overall pay levels. In addition, this position provides expertise in the design and administration of variable compensation and executive compensation programs. The Compensation Consultant provides leadership in departmental projects.</span></p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>5 or more years of increasing experience in Compensation or a related HR field, including experience with job evaluation, market pricing, developing compensation programs and tools, incentive plan design, and exposure to executive compensation.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li>Proven experience developing compensation solutions to meet varying business needs.</li> <li>Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Ability to explain complex information in a user-friendly manner, with the ability to influence and negotiate.Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.</li> <li>Experience working with all levels of management, including senior executives with strong presentation skills.</li> <li>Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.</li> <li>Proven experience developing relationships at all levels across the organization.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.</li> <li>Experience working in the financial services industry.</li> <li>Experience designing complex incentive plans, including sales incentive compensation.</li> <li>Experience working with executive compensation in a public company.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Four-year degree or approved equivalent combination of education and experience required</li> <li>Four-year degree in Human Resources, Finance, or related area or Master's degree in HR, Finance, business, or related area preferred</li> <li>CCP Certification Preferred</li> <li>Contribute to the design, creation, and maintenance of the compensation infrastructure and tools.</li> <li>Facilitate discussions on how to approach job evaluation and contribute to the development of job evaluation tools and training.</li> <li>In partnership with the business and HC Partners, review job descriptions and conduct a job evaluation.</li> <li>Conduct market analysis of jobs and monitor market place trends.</li> <li>Collaborate with business and HC Partners to understand compensation needs, assess business situations, and provide solutions.</li> <li>Works with key contributors to design complex compensation programs including short and long term variable compensation programs.</li> <li>Ensures compensation programs and processes are in compliance with legislative regulations and requirements.</li> <li>Participates with Total Rewards Leader on executive compensation needs.</li> </ul>
