Responsibilities: <div id="Jobs_JobDetail_JobDescriptionText"> <ul> <li>Assigns workers to workstations to meet production requirements; monitors production and adjusts work assignments, the supply of material, and machine operation when necessary.</li> <li>Confers with supervisor to receive instructions and exchange production information; provides up-to-date information on the status of work in progress, quality, and material inventory.</li> <li>Communicates with and coordinates with other supervisors, team leads, certified operator trainers, quality technicians, material handlers, and shipping personnel; reacts to and makes necessary changes to production flow based on customer demands.</li> <li>Assigns and works with Certified Operator Trainers to ensure employees under their lead are fully trained in all core competencies, critical quality processes, and CPS principles, and associated department work instructions.</li> <li>Works with other departments and areas of responsibility to define, coordinate, and develop solutions for department or area-specific requirements, goals, and objectives.</li> <li>Works with statistical reporting and analysis of OTP, past dues, and material shortages; assists with daily toolbox meetings and safety communication.</li> <li>Performs and leads routine preventative maintenance on machines as scheduled and required for TPM.</li> <li>Works individually and as a team to develop and implement quality and efficiency improvements.</li> <li>Applies CPS principles and lean manufacturing techniques, develops teams, stations, or cells to support this process; looks for ways to improve manufacturing processes; understands, applies, and emphasizes continuous quality improvement techniques.</li> <li>Conducts tests and inspections of products, or processes to evaluate quality or performance; examines products or work to verify conformance to specifications.</li> </ul> <p>Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Requirements: <ul> <li>Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in production.</li> <li>Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets and database software including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. JDE system experience preferred.</li> <li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, proportions and decimals. Ability and understanding of various measuring devices in meeting drawing dimensions and specifications.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, work orders, work instructions, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.</li> <li>Work requires continual attention to detail in follow through, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.</li> </ul>
