Overview: <p>We are looking for talented Manufacturing Engineer Interns to work under the supervision of the Facilities Manager to support manufacturing and facilities projects.</p> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -332px; top: -20.0139px;">&nbsp;</div>
Responsibilities: Essential Functions <ul> <li>Assist in the development and evaluation of processes to improve manufacturing methods within the manufacturing plant</li> <li>Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to design.</li> <li>Applies engineering principles to design, modify, or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment or processes.</li> <li>Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capacities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.</li> <li>Creates drawings in developing product routings and updating the plant layout accordingly.</li> <li>Completes work according to standard engineering principles and practices.</li> <li>Conducts time studies on engineering proposals to develop design for products, equipment, machines, associated and subsystems components, and structures associated with the manufacturing process.</li> <li>Uses computer-assisted engineering software and equipment. (ie AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.)</li> <li>Studies and records time, motion, methods, and speed involved in performance of maintenance, production, and other worker operations to establish standard production rate and to improve efficiency.</li> <li>Analyzes product or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.</li> <li>Recommend revisions of methods of operation and material handling, alteration of equipment layout, and other changes to increase production</li> </ul> Additional Responsibilities <ul> <li>Support of company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.</li> <li>Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area.</li> </ul>
Requirements: Qualifications <ul> <li>Current student or recent graduate of Engineering or related technical field with relevant experience and/or training preferred.</li> <li>Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.</li> <li>AutoCAD experience with Solid Modeling and 3D design experience.</li> <li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering proposals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.</li> <li>Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.</li> <li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</li> <li>Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</li> </ul> <br />Certifications / Training:<strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>AutoCAD, Solid Modeling, and 3D design preferred
