Overview: The Application Engineer will provide technical sales support to customers and field sales engineers by offering application assistance and identifying cost effective solutions for their heating and temperature control requirements.
Responsibilities: <div id="Jobs_JobDetail_JobDescriptionText"> <ul> <li>Provides premier customer support; develops and maintains exceptional client relationships.</li> <li>Prepares technical pricing proposals. Configures pricing for standard products.</li> <li>Ensures that price increases are applied consistently on quotes and orders for the historical business.</li> <li>Works closely with application engineering preparing quotes for custom thermal systems.</li> <li>Identifies competitive situations and reviews price options through proper channels.</li> <li>Drives sales growth through relationship building and following up with customers on quotes provided.</li> <li>Verifies contract information on the customer purchase order and ensures the organization can meet the specified requirements.</li> <li>Reviews customer purchase orders to ensure that product requirements are defined and, if different from those previously expressed, those differences are resolved prior to order processing.</li> <li>Completes accurate order entry while adhering to price guidelines and published lead times.</li> <li>Administrates resolution of customer technical and pricing issues.</li> <li>Supports credit and collection as required to resolve payment issues.</li> <li>Offers troubleshooting assistance on customer applications.</li> <li>Processes material return authorization requests.</li> <li>Promptly follows-up on assigned leads.</li> <li>Acts as a liaison between the customer and the organization including, but not limited to, engineering, planning, purchasing, production, credit, and marketing.</li> <li>Assists in resolving customer concerns through leadership and coordination.</li> <li>Immediately refers to business at risk for escalation.</li> <li>Develops and maintains proficiency in technical details of the Chromalox product line.</li> <li>Attends sales and customer service training as scheduled; assists in cross-training new engineers.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> </div>
