Full-Time/Regular

Overview: Under limited supervision, coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts and assemblies between teams and/or departments.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Conducts tests and inspections of products, or processes to evaluate quality or performance; examines products or work to verify conformance to specifications. Main focus of position is Inspection of incoming materials</li> <li>Responsible to receive and move materials to designated storage areas.</li> <li>Stages inventory and maintains kitting systems for parts and orders utilized in production areas and for assigned project orders using production schedules.</li> <li>Utilizes pick lists to pull and kit all parts necessary for assigned production and project orders.</li> <li>Follows priority dispatch list in setting up and prioritizing work with assigned work teams; responsible for timely material issue resolution to insure on time shipping commitments.</li> <li>Maintains the accuracy and timely completion of KanBan cards and material transactions; manages KanBan inventory levels.</li> <li>Responsible for timely reports and logs; accounts for all replenishment orders and part shortages and outages and for timely completion of JDE transactions for materials, received and issued.</li> <li>Removes scrap from work areas; enters scrap material data transactions.</li> <li>Works with ECO and Engineering on phase-in/phase-out of materials and correction of prints and bills of material.</li> <li>Responsible to perform the daily Cycle Count and major variance root cause analysis; assists with annual physical inventory.</li> <li>Performs routine preventative maintenance on machines as scheduled and required for TPM.</li> <li>Works individually and as a team to develop and implement quality and efficiency improvements.</li> <li>Conducts tests and inspections of products, or processes to evaluate quality or performance; examines products or work to verify conformance to specifications.</li> </ul> Additional Responsibilities <ul> <li>May be required to cross train and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions of the department working at different work stations as production needs require.</li> <li>Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships; training and teaching others.</li> <li>Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area free of excess materials.</li> <li>Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, work orders, work instructions, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.</li> <li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, proportions and decimals. Ability and understanding of various measuring devices in meeting drawing dimensions and specifications.</li> <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with material handling or shipping and receiving.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Work requires continual attention to detail in follow through, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.</li> </ul>
