Overview: Chromalox Engineering Internships are a great opportunity for engineering students or recent graduates to gain engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. The internships generally go three to six months in duration. The Research and Development internship provides the opportunity for the intern to work with and learn from Development Engineers while they support projects, conduct testing, and prepare associated documentation. Additional responsibilities may include supporting the creation of models/drawings, basic calculations, participating in cross functional teams, setting up and performing tests and experiments, and many other related engineering activities.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Work in a team environment while supporting the work of Development Engineers. Also capable of managing individual work and completing assigned tasks.</li> <li>Uses computer-assisted engineering software and equipment.</li> <li>Experienced with 3D modeling software.</li> <li>Supports projects by conducting engineering studies on materials, assemblies, and systems.</li> <li>Conducts testing and experimentation, reports on results, and documents findings.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Associate’s degree or equivalent education from College or University in an engineering or technical field.</li> <li>Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form. Deal with several abstract and concrete variables. </li> <li>Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software. Personal Computer and word processor skills including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.</li> </ul>
