Overview: Provide a role as a&nbsp; Field Service Technician, promoting the Chromalox brand, providing Field Service support, application assistance, and design assistance, quoting service contracts, and entering orders.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Coordinates field service calls to meet group objectives for monthly performance.</li> <li>Travels to customer sites providing checkout of equipment, start up and trouble shooting of heater and control panel equipment including heating cable.</li> <li>Performs electrical and mechanical checks on heating equipment.</li> <li>Works with customers, engineering, purchasing, and vendors when replacement parts are required.</li> <li>Installs and replaces components and products as required.</li> <li>Develops detailed proposals for standard and custom service contracts.</li> <li>Coordinates critical target dates from customer to engineering and production.&nbsp;</li> <li>Understands requirements for documentation of drawings, testing, approvals and all submittals.</li> <li>Coordinates sub contractors involved as required to complete field work required.</li> <li>Coordinates quotation and order entry activities with sales force, engineering, and plant including samples and drawings for approval.</li> <li>Assists sales and marketing in promoting strategies for increasing sales, providing better customer service and promoting Chromalox Service business awareness.</li> <li>Assists Sales in meeting profitable sales and growth objectives for department related to the Service business.</li> <li>Assists customers and representatives in trouble-shooting problems with equipment or applications.</li> <li>Provides start-up and installation assistance by phone or as needed at customer job site.</li> <li>Assists sales by making joint sales calls with local office to promote Service products and secure key projects.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provides training to sales organization for all products serviced by Chromalox.</li> <li>Supports sales and marketing by providing assistance with literature, training manuals and instruction sheets.</li> <li>Resolves customer complaints regarding equipment, supplies, and services.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li><strong>Education:</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;BS degree in engineering or other appropriate technical degree or equivalent experience</li> <li><strong>Experience:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;3 years minimum of related experience, including PLC and digital communication&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Skills:&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;strong PC skills including MS office, AutoCAD, and data base management tools</li> <li><strong>Travel</strong>:&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;up to 75% may be required facilitate this position</li> </ul>
