This is a hands-on position that requires effective communication, high judgment, and leadership of sales and manufacturing production operations.
Responsibilities: <div id="Jobs_JobDetail_JobDescriptionText"> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Establish, develop, and lead the Global Integrated Production Planning and Controls organization</li> <li>Develop and implement management policies, tools and goals that would create controlled and streamlined environment with a focus on understanding production capacity, lead times, and cycle time</li> <li>Work across multiple functions to ensure full horizontal and vertical integration of plans and schedules including project management, resource management and product portfolio management</li> <li>Work internally with Planners, Analysts, and Leadership to ensure end-to-end integration of S&amp;OP plans that translate into on-time product delivery and maximize revenues</li> <li>Maintain an effective schedule of S&amp;OP activities that identify and, as necessary, escalate risks to execute Chromalox business plans across both the short and mid-long term</li> <li>Assign responsibilities for actions to realign to the Production Plan as required and work collaboratively and proactively on alternatives and recommendations for solutions</li> <li>Implement best practice, new techniques and tools on demand and supply forecasting to improve forecast accuracy, past due projection accuracy, inventory projections</li> <li>Ensure full integration of multi-year forecasts and plans for all global regions work to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools, and equipment</li> <li>Conduct ongoing reviews of forecasts and actuals against capacity as well as flow to improve confidence of financial projections in the near-term planning horizon</li> <li>Develop performance projections to drive corrective actions and improvement</li> <li>Create transparency and controls to any changes in production planning with financial implications understood and changes easily identified</li> <li>Ensure focus is on exception management and appropriately prioritizing issues and customers (i.e. Not all orders and products are equal)</li> <li>Instill a culture of continuous improvement through opportunity identification, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to reduce cost, cycle times, and ensure cross-functional integration and communication</li> <li>Identify and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI&rsquo;s) to drive positive business results</li> <li>Develop and execute plans using existing Business Systems (JDE, Cognos, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint) to support immediate business need and supports team in system issue resolution</li> <li>Support the new ERP implementation, automation, and digitalization efforts</li> </ul> </div>
Requirements: <h2>Required Experience</h2> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s or master&rsquo;s degree in an engineering discipline, operations management, supply chain management or other relevant field</li> <li>5 +years&rsquo; experience in Manufacturing planning, Advance Sales &amp; Operations Planning, Finish and Final Assembly Scheduling, Master Scheduling, or other related functional area</li> <li>2 + years' management experience in matrixed organization, building a high performing team that is tightly coordinated to key business partners.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP with the understanding and implementation of lean practices</li> <li>Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication with strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of MS Office and project management software programs</li> <li>JD Edwards experience preferred</li> <li>PMP, APICS, or other SCM, S&amp;OP, Six Sigma Certification preferred</li> <li>Cognos, BI reporting experience preferred</li> <li>Travel: up to 30%</li> </ul>
