Overview: The Application Engineer will provide technical sales support to customers, and field sales engineers by offering application assistance and identifying cost effective solutions for their heating and temperature control requirements.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Prepares technical price proposals</li> <li>Enters orders, processes Material Return Authorization (MRA) requests, troubleshoots customer applications, makes product recommendations, expedites orders, etc., as is required to provide customers with the best possible customer service.</li> <li>Works closely with Outside Sales Engineers optimizing profitable sales and growth.</li> <li>Works with Field Sales, Sales Engineering, and Manufacturing to help resolve technical or pricing issues in the proposal stage.</li> <li>Supports customers in Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Southern California, and Latin America.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Assists in fulfilling customer needs through leadership, coordination, and liaison among Field Sales, Customers, the appropriate Sales Engineering group, and Manufacturing persons.</li> <li>Configures and proposes standard and custom thermal systems, and works with Sales Engineering on cost estimates of specials. Determines competitive situations and requests pricing through proper channel (CS/AE).</li> <li>Immediately refers to &ldquo;business at risk&rdquo; issues to the Office Manager.</li> <li>Assists in the planning and execution of sales and marketing strategy.</li> <li>Communicates in English daily with customers and field sales engineers about all business activities.</li> <li>Skilled at communicating in Spanish preferred but not required.</li> <li>Provides premier customer support; develops and maintains exceptional client relationships</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience</li> <li>Customer service experience</li> </ul>
