Overview: This is a department manager role based in Heidelberg, Germany. The person will manage and set up a distribution network in EMEAI, together with local sales for the Chromalox HeatTrace product line. <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -95px; top: 26px;">&nbsp;</div>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Amongst other duties, the main responsibilities of the job are:</li> <li>To identify opportunities in customer inquiries and turn these into actual sales.</li> <li>To visit customers to promote Chromalox&rsquo;s capability and attend detailed technical clarification meetings at Partners, EPCs and End Users.</li> <li>Train channel partner sales staff</li> <li>Manage and complete the HT product line</li> <li>Work with suppliers</li> <li>Set price levels and discount structure</li> <li>Determine stock profiles for various entities</li> <li>Marketing activities &ndash; brochures, events, etc.</li> <li>Monitor market and do competition analysis</li> <li>Prepare bookings/sales budgets</li> <li>Contribute, help and advise on all customer matters (e.g. deliveries, submission date, etc) to different departments to promote understanding and ensure good customer service.</li> <li>Continuous improvement of the department&rsquo;s workflow through Root Cause Analysis Tools, e.g. 5 Why&rsquo;s</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Candidates should hold a BSc degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering other appropriate technical discipline or equivalent.</li> <li>Long technical sales experience in the HT market.</li> <li>Great communicator and networker who enjoys the challenge of driving specifications at EPCs and key end-user accounts</li> <li>Demonstrable experience in a similar role is required as a minimum.</li> <li>Fluency in English is mandatory.</li> <li>Thrives in competitive environment and is motivated and energized by challenge of securing large orders.</li> <li>A detailed knowledge of competitive products, including price structure, professional services capability, and market focus.</li> <li>Welcomes and enjoys travel (approximately 70%) within their region.</li> </ul> The ideal candidate will:<br /> <ul> <li>Have a positive outlook, be self-motivated and hard-working.</li> <li>Be flexible with an ability to work under pressure and to prioritize changing timescales and workloads.</li> <li>Possess the ability and confidence to interact with colleagues and customers of all levels and build close working relationships.</li> <li>Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Make good use of their own initiative and know when to flag issues and escalate situations.</li> <li>Be forward thinking and able to anticipate problems.</li> <li>Be customer focused, persuasive, encouraging and motivating.</li> <li>Drive change and implement process improvements.</li> <li>Have experience at working both independently and in a team-orientated, collaborative environment.</li> <li>A high standard of accuracy with excellent written and spoken communication skills</li> <li>A good telephone manner</li> <li>Excellent computer and IT skills including; Word, Excel, Adobe and experience of using spreadsheets and databases.</li> <li>The ability to multi-task responsibilities simultaneously and work autonomously</li> </ul>
