Overview: Salary<br />$45.00 per hour or negotiable depending upon qualifications. <br /><br />Description <br />Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing technology project(s).<br /><br />Physical Requirements<br />This position requires the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Work requires considerable physical activity including walking lifting, reaching, stooping, pulling, grasping, balancing, climbing, kneeling, standing and crouching. Incumbent is subject to inside and outside activities with a variety of weather changes or atmospheric conditions. Incumbent may be exposed to activities such as noise and jobs with potential hazards that may require special protection and/or special safety precautions. Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed by crews for accuracy and quality. Incumbent is required to hear sufficiently to perceive information at normal spoken word levels. Manual dexterity is required to operate equipment in performance of duties.
Responsibilities: <ul><li>Plans and executes all facets of project management including day-to-day management and oversight of the E.R.P. project.</li><li>Manages budget reporting on the E.R.P. project. </li><li>Documents user stories and guide stakeholders through requirements gathering processes.</li><li>Maintains project progress in a project management tool to maintain timelines and to ensure waypoints of the project are achieved. </li><li>Ensures the E.R.P. project follows IT department policies and procedures.</li><li>Serves as the City representative for oversight and coordination to contractors for E.R.P. project, monitoring and reporting on contractor performance.</li><li>Develops and maintains project lifecycle documentation including but not limited to project charter, project statement of work, work breakdown structure, work breakdown structure dictionary, quality reports, stakeholder register and communications, change management control documents. Risk register and mitigation plan, etc.</li><li>Participates in project reviews with the team and customers to ensure the project meets business needs and vision. </li><li>Prepares and presents activity and progress reports to stakeholders and City leadership as requested. </li><li>Manages process and system improvements related to the E.R.P. project including troubleshooting, streamlining workflow, and maximizing the effective uses of software and hardware. </li><li>Serves as the liaison with the technical staff and contractors to assist with design specifications, program logic, and data conversion. </li><li>Investigates stakeholder concerns/complaints and assists with software workflow processes issues and recommends corrective action or solutions as necessary to resolve. </li><li>Assists department stakeholders with data conversion documentation and processes to include alternative data retention and fully documenting historical data warehousing for future use in records retrieval. </li><li>Requirements include off-hours on-call support when needed for this role.</li><li>The intent of this class description is to provide a representative summary of the types of duties and responsibilities that will be required of classifications given this title and shall not be construed as a declaration of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications<br /> <ul> <li>An Associate Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.</li> <li>Five years of progressively responsible experience in project management, project improvement, ERP implementation.</li> <li>PMI Project Management Professional certification or other industry standard.</li> <li>Or the equivalent in education, training, and experience, which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience can be substituted for the educational requirement, but the Project Management certification is mandatory.</li> </ul>
