Responsibilities: <p><u>Here&rsquo;s what you can expect in the way of job responsibilities</u>:</p> <p><strong>Client Service (40%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Independently lead client service for various engagements and serve as the main contact and key point person for multiple clients by providing project management and oversight throughout each project to ensure all client deadlines and objectives are met.</li> <li>Proactively develop and carry out specific engagement plans for clients and liaison between shareholders and staff or clients by communicating status throughout the engagement to all parties involved.</li> <li>Persuasively advise and guide clients and suggest viable solutions that will result in success for the client and profit for the firm.</li> <li>Assertively consult with clients on various issues or projects, becoming a trusted business adviser.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical (30%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Confidently consult with clients to anticipate and address needs.</li> <li>Efficiently research complex matters and present answers in an easy to understand and straightforward manner.</li> <li>Comprehensively perform quality control of client deliverables to comply with firm standards and US GAAP and corporate tax law requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Staff Development (20%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strategically participate in recruiting activities for new employees including attending various career fairs, interview potential candidates, and seek out non-traditional methods in finding new staff.</li> <li>Purposefully provide performance feedback and evaluations of staff to ensure maximum achievement and allow opportunities to develop and grow so that viable employees are retained.</li> <li>Drive technical development needs of staff and implement opportunities to provide training to develop and expand staff skillset.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Business Development (5%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strategically pursue relationship development with existing clients and analyze for further opportunities to provide service.</li> <li>Proactively support and participate in networking or other business development activities.</li> </ul> <strong>Administration (5%)</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Effectively coordinates all aspects of the client billing process including setting realistic budgets, analyzing actual to budget, preparing client invoices to demonstrate value of services and follow up on collections.</li> <li>Efficiently contribute to special projects and provide key assistance on strategic teams to further the growth and development of the firm.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><u>Job requirements</u></p> <ul> <li>To be successful in this role, you will need the following knowledge, skills and abilities:</li> <li>Licensed CPA or CPA eligible</li> <li>2.5 &ndash; 5 years of public accounting experience</li> <li>Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office</li> <li>Proficient with Excel spreadsheet analysis, including use of pivot tables</li> <li>Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation, networking</li> <li>Proven client service, project management, supervisory, and leadership skills</li> <li>Ability to self-direct, and manage multiple projects, priorities, and timelines</li> <li>Our ideal Senior Accountant candidate would carry out their responsibilities while displaying the following key behavioral competencies:</li> <li>Makes client decisions and business pursuits on a broad scale with a solid appreciation for how each item impacts the big picture of the success of the client and the growth of the firm</li> <li>Independently creates and implements solutions to client or business issues to achieve results that have a positive impact</li> <li>Adapts and adjusts to complete multiple client or firm-related tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment</li> <li>Undertakes all accounting and client tasks with careful organization to make sure all details are accounted for and goals are accomplished with minimal disruption</li> <li>Readily takes initiative to learn and works to get results</li> </ul>
