Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assist clients with life events for partnerships (i.e. formations, mergers), inside and outside basis computations, sections 704(c), 743(b) computations, and Schedule K-1 reporting.</li> <li>Develop and maintain strong relationship with clients in the real estate industry.</li> <li>Advise clients on a variety of tax issues, including impact of Tax Reform on passthroughs and other Real Estate clients, business restructuring, and tax controversy.</li> <li>Oversee complex federal and state tax compliance and consulting projects requiring tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates.</li> <li>Manage engagement workflow, engagement team resources, and engagement billing.</li> <li>Mentor and develop staff, providing leadership, technical development, and career guidance.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field</li> <li>CPA certification required</li> <li>6+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent experience</li> <li>Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transactional skills, including partnership taxation, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition/disposition planning and structuring, and experience with federal and state tax compliance, tax analysis, and tax research</li> <li>REIT consulting, compliance, and reporting experience helpful, but not required</li> <li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills</li> <li>Excellent research and writing skills</li> </ul> <br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <p><em>Clayton &amp; McKervey is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</em></p> <p><em>This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position.&nbsp; It should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all required duties, responsibilities, and skills.
