Overview: <p>A successful candidate will work with a culturally diverse client base in a wide range of industries.&nbsp; Working independently as well as within a team, they will have the opportunity for advancement and staff development.&nbsp; This position is for a career-minded individual with a strong desire to grow in the field of public accounting.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide monthly, full charge accounting services for clients including daily, monthly and annual full cycle accounting transactions ensuring that client engagement deadlines are met consistently</li> <li>Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner</li> <li>Prepare client correspondence, letters, e-mail, or other communications pertaining to engagement planning and requests; Consult with clients to ensure alignment between client goals and project plans</li> <li>Prepare (or review client prepared) financial statements and, management reports, and other engagement output; Review balance sheet for accuracy and coordinate resolution</li> <li>Assist with providing direction and guidance to associate and intern level associates including review of work</li> <li>Provide assistance with more complex general ledgers identifying missing transactions and trends to ensure overall accuracy</li> <li>Utilize available tools and coordinate project tasks to ensure efficient client workflow</li> <li>Participate in cross utilization of teams and/or lead software implementations, conversions and setups as assigned; Participate in special projects/committees as requested</li> <li>Seeks opportunities to participate in mentoring, recruiting, retention and team-building activities.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field</li> <li>3+ years of progressively responsible experience in public accounting</li> <li>CPA certified preferred</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills</li> </ul>
