Senior Accountant

Overview: <p>The Advisory &amp; Assurance Senior Accountant will actively participate and occasionally lead audits, reviews, and other assurance projects including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up of all engagements.&nbsp; This position will be responsible for completing client engagements, while developing strong working relationships with clients built around understanding their business and challenges.&nbsp; The senior accountant is instrumental in mentoring and developing interns and staff accountants.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assist in planning and conducting audit, review and compilation engagements in a timely manner.</li> <li>Develop and maintain productive working relationships with the client &ndash; closely held, middle market entrepreneurs</li> <li>Demonstrate a thorough understanding of accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.</li> <li>Develop people through effectively delegating tasks and providing guidance to staff; Provide performance feedback and training, and conduct performance reviews.</li> <li>Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.</li> <li>Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field</li> <li>CPA certification preferred</li> <li>3+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on audit and assurance</li> <li>Strong judgment, problem solving, and decision-making abilities</li> <li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, including excellent research and writing skills</li> <li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment</li> </ul>
