Overview: <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Assistant Project Manager works with the Project Management team on the planning, coordination, and completion of construction projects. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Role model professionally for Interns, Project Engineers, Senior Project Engineers, and new APMs.</li> <li>Ownership of the RFI process.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ownership of the submittal process.</li> <li>Active participation in the creation of accurate and timely budgets and bids.</li> <li>Develop knowledge and understanding of project cost controls.</li> <li>Ownership of project documentation.</li> <li>Actively participate in project meetings and take the lead and document OAC meetings.</li> <li>Heavy coordination with superintendent and project manager, including frequent site visits to monitor onsite progress.</li> <li>Distribute drawings, sketches, shop drawings, submittals, schedules and punchlists to subcontractor and site superintendent in a timely fashion to maintain the project schedule.</li> <li>Ownership of the closeout package process.</li> <li>Become proficient in, and utilize, Clune established systems and technology to work efficiently and to the highest standards.</li> <li>Be an ambassador for Clune&rsquo;s safety culture and OSHA standards to enforce a safe work environment and attend safety meetings.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Critical thinker, problem solver and can make independent decisions.</li> <li>Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills that will be utilized to hold discussions with various members of Clune, trade partners, designers and clients.</li> <li>Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.</li> <li>Understanding of team roles and responsibilities, internally and externally.</li> <li>Growing understanding of trade delineation.</li> <li>Understanding of how to read drawings and specs.</li> <li>Understanding of how to read construction schedules and how they are built.</li> <li>Ability to work and thrive in team environments.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering or equivalent industry experience required.</li> <li>2-5 years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare and/or mission-critical projects.</li> <li>Background in construction trades and technical knowledge of construction methods a plus.</li> <li>Completion of basic budget training.</li> <li>Strong computer skills needed.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><em>All candidates must provide a resume.</em></strong></p>
