Overview: The Assistant Project Manager works with the Project Management team on the planning, coordination, and completion of construction projects. Responsibilities: <ul> <li> <p>Role model professionally for Interns, Project Engineers, Senior Project Engineers, and new APMs.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ownership of the RFI process.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Ownership of the submittal process.</p> </li> <li> <p>Active participation in the creation of accurate and timely budgets and bids.</p> </li> <li> <p>Develop knowledge and understanding of project cost controls.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ownership of project documentation.</p> </li> <li> <p>Actively participate in project meetings and take the lead and document OAC meetings.</p> </li> <li> <p>Heavy coordination with superintendent and project manager, including frequent site visits to monitor onsite progress.</p> </li> <li> <p>Distribute drawings, sketches, shop drawings, submittals, schedules and punchlists to subcontractor and site superintendent in a timely fashion to maintain the project schedule.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ownership of the closeout package process.</p> </li> <li> <p>Become proficient in, and utilize, Clune established systems and technology to work efficiently and to the highest standards.</p> </li> <li> <p>Be an ambassador for Clune&rsquo;s safety culture and OSHA standards to enforce a safe work environment and attend safety meetings.</p> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li> <p>Critical thinker, problem solver and can make independent decisions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong communication and interpersonal skills that will be utilized to hold discussions with various members of Clune, trade partners, designers and clients.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.</p> </li> <li> <p>Understanding of team roles and responsibilities, internally and externally.</p> </li> <li> <p>Growing understanding of trade delineation.</p> </li> <li> <p>Understanding of how to read drawings and specs.</p> </li> <li> <p>Understanding of how to read construction schedules and how they are built.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to work and thrive in team environments.</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering or equivalent industry experience required.</p> </li> <li> <p>2-5 years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare and/or mission-critical projects.</p> </li> <li> <p>Background in construction trades and technical knowledge of construction methods a plus.</p> </li> <li> <p>Completion of basic budget training.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong computer skills needed.</p> </li> </ul> <br />&nbsp;
