Responsibilities: To assist with our continued growth, we are seeking a full-time Communications Manager to join our expanding marketing team in Sydney.<br /><br />The responsibilities of this role include:<br /><br /> <ul> <li>Copywriting and proofreading all marketing material, including capability statements, brochures, advertisements, invitations and other ad hoc documents</li> <li>Editing legal publications, including our monthly newsletter CBP Focus</li> <li>Pitches to the press for publications, interviews and news stories and fielding media opportunities</li> <li>Building relationships with editors of external publications</li> <li>Management of the Colin Biggers &amp; Paisley website, including writing and updating content and search engine optimisation</li> <li>Management of public relations strategies and liaising with our external PR agency as required</li> <li>Management all social media, including Linkedin, Twitter and Facebook</li> <li>Advising on strategy for communications and external publishing to support achievement of the Strategic Plan</li> <li>Other marketing projects and initiatives as required</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>The successful candidate:<br /><br /></strong>You will need to be self-motivated and adaptable in this dynamic environment. Ideal background and skills include:<br /><br /> <ul> <li>Proven experience in a communications management role and demonstrated experience in communications in a professional services environment, ideally a legal practice</li> <li>Tertiary qualifications in communications or other relevant areas</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint</li> <li>Experience in using all forms of social media</li> <li>Professional presentation and communication skills</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of the legal practice with a focus on customer service</li> <li>Highly organised with ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment</li> <li>Eye for detail and creative flair with writing</li> <li>Demonstrable problem-solving skills and initiative</li> <li>Ability to work autonomously and as part of a national team</li> <li>Ability to supervise and manage staff</li> </ul>
