As such, we welcome talented individuals that have a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and industry experience who will contribute to the success of our One Parkland team.</p> <p><strong>Position Title: Barge Operator&nbsp;/ Fueling Attendant</strong></p> <p><strong>Team and Location: Commercial - Coal Harbour, BC &amp;&nbsp;Richmond Marina&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p> <p>Reporting to the Territory Manager, this position is responsible for refueling boats and ensuring a clean and safe worksite for all employees and customers. Weekend work and/or on-call is required to ensure our customers are serviced in a timely matter. As this position functions in a highly customer focused environment all persons are expected to perform their job duties in a professional manner and adhere to our company values.&nbsp;This role will be expected to be at more than one Marina on a weekly basis, reliable transportation is required. Shift work will be required.&nbsp;</p> </div>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Work safely, always.</li> <li>Process customer payments, invoicing, account inquiries and bank deposits.</li> <li>Answering calls and directing queries to appropriate staff.</li> <li>Maintains an inventory of fuel tanks.</li> <li>Conducts daily/monthly site inspection(s) as needed.</li> <li>Manage lubes inventory and lube customer requests.</li> <li>Inspects fuel tanks to ensure proper working condition.</li> <li>Provide back-up for card lock duties: cleaning pumps; pick up garbage; changing nozzles.</li> <li>Summer and winter yard facility maintenance.</li> <li>All other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Qualifications and Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent customer service skills.<br />Ability to work varied shifts. Role will float between Marina's for shift coverage as required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Basic computer skills.</li> <li>Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced changing environment and excellent organizational skills.</li> <li>The ability to apply good common sense and safety skills to any situation</li> <li>Time management skills and the ability work with others as well as unsupervised.</li> <li>Ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed.</li> <li>The ability to apply safety skills to any situation.</li> <li>Previous WHMIS, Dangerous Goods and Spill Response training an asset.</li> <li>Experience with internal billing system applications is considered an asset.</li> <li>A recreational boating license (PCL) would be an asset.</li> <li>Point-of-sale systems experience would be an asset.</li> <li>The site is a 24/7/365 site &ndash; Ability to work shift work and weekends is a must.&nbsp;The shift for this role is 4 days/week, 10 hour shifts.
